I just got this case yesterday and cant for the life of me figure out how to install my floppy with the provoded "tool less" rails. I have an OEM NEC FD1231H-302 and neither the plastic nor the metal rails fit the damn thing! Im not in a big rush since the order for my DVD drives was screwed from the moment "verify" was clicked, but there REALLY doesnt seem to be any way to get that damn thing in there. Im going to power down and rip out my current drive and check against that for the time being.

For the floppy use the plastic ones with "FDD" on them. If you need more help, feel free to PM me. BTW- I LOVE this case! Definitely by far the best case I have ever had, only it's a little heavy...

You are a god. 🙂 I had NO clue that there were BOTH HDD and FDD rails with this thing. 😱 Why is this not mentioned in the half dozen or so reviews on this case? Or better yet with the documentation? Ugh, i was fully prepared to kill someone this morning and this was one of contributors. Until your reply i was just gonna let the thing hang out the front until i could borrow a wirefeed welder! 😀 Grazie!

[edit]A LITTLE heavy? 😕 I had to carry the sumbeech 6 blocks from my office to home. About half way i thought, "sheet, should i just grab a cab?" [/edit]

I'm looking at getting this case, only I have a couple concerns. Is it REALLY 24.5" deep!? This seems ridiculously deep, and if that is in fact true, then I have to rig up a new desk placement solution. The second question is how loud/quiet is the case when running under an idle state? Thanks.

It is also the "longest" case I have ever seen. That is probably it's low point. As far as noise is concerned, the case fans are relatively quiet the only thing is that you need to be aware if you get the fan controller how to utilize it to it's full potential. I am currently running both fans directly connected to the PSU without the fan controller set and I love how little noise it makes. Feel free to PM me with any more questions as I may not be checking this thread often.

BTW- What's that chassis thing and where do you plug it into?

Chasis thing? Care to clarify?

Yah, there's a button at the back of the case that has a wire labelled "chassis" and it looks like it should connect to something on the computer but I don't see anything on my mobo that would connect correctly with it. Ideas?

The chassis thing is ment to be plugged to a chassis intrusion switch connector on your mobo. My, rather dated, msi mobo has such a connector. When connected and the chassis is opened, the switch will be short and a message is displayed. Rather useless feature imho.

😉Something else, Ackbar: have you managed tot connect the TJ05's 2 120 mm stock fans with their 1-pin connector to the fan controller and have them controlled? Mine doesn't work. I think it's because it's just a 1-pin connector from the fan and not a 3-pin, but i'm not sure. Can you help me out with this??
