Silversone FT02 build

Finished this last week, love the case, had to disable the reset and power buttons because my cats kept pressing them tho!

Even though I'm not crazy about the "topsy-turvy" configuration of those...that's still a nice clean looking build.
Well done.

Really want one of those cases, hopefully will be able to put a new system together later this year. Nice looking build. 🙂

Cheers. It had a bit of a hum going at one point but I seem to have gotten rid of that.

Not the best case if you have cats tho...

I removed the 3 extra HD enclosures on mine and mounted my 2 HDs closest to the left side. It improved the airflow on the left side and more important it seems to have reduced the "baffle" sound of the air hitting all those slits in the empty enclosures.

Very nice looking. I have a tx750 powersupply and most of the wires aren't long enough for me to do real cable management.

I also had a system built in that box. I have an ASUS P6X58D-e motherboard. I found that the USB ports weren't connected. The board says it doesn't have a reset, yet something is connected there. The audio connections work.
These are in the external connections of course. The dvd is in the top slot and I was thinking of moving it down one so I could see what is/isn't plugged in there. This wii have to be after my left hand heals.

Looks nice I like it.

I am certainly familiar with cat problems. I have 2 wire chewers and 1 LCD monitor sitters. I banned those two from the computer room. So only the big 23 pound cat is allowed in. Now he will sit on the Keyboard once in awhile, but I can deal with that.

I have the red version and love the case as well, of course I do have a few complaints

1. wish there was more room (ie slightly wider case) behind the motherboard to hide the cables

2. the hard drive cages are too flimsy for my liking, of course once everything is in place and assuming its going there isn't going to be much hot swapping it isn't that big of a deal

You might want to contact Silverstone for new fans. You somehow got a model without the ap181 fans, I didn't think that these were still in circulation. They are quite a bit better than the ones that you are currently using.

I really love this case. It was a massive upgrade from an Antec 1200.

Put mine together recently as well... I'm awed by your cable management as mine is... non-existent. This was the case I'd be waiting for as I always thought airflow should follow... well... physics.

This is a defect. Mine had the same loose drive cages, RMA'd it and the one I got back was very tight.

Before if you pushed on my cages from the back they would pop right out. Now you can put considerable pressure on them and they stay tight.

Ah really? I knew about the change in fans but just assumed I'd get one with the new ones, this is what comes from living at the end of the world.

Will silverstone ship the new fans free?

jackstar7 - cable managment in this is fairly easy (tho lacks a bit of space behind the board) once you have it running take some time to redo the cables and tie them all up

They might ship the fans to you for free. I'm sure that you could work something out. I would just contact silverstone.
