wtf? Why are they so popular? Sucks for when your trying to buy the car you want in a non silver colour!!!

The look continues...

What are you looking for? I like silver personally because it hides dirt (and I don't want to wash my car every week).

Silver cars are EVERYWHERE. I had a Silver car and it just blended in to the 1000's of boring cars on the road.

Silver is MEH.

I hate silver

I got "Carbon Bronze Pearl" which is a darker brownish dark grey... hides dirt just as well as silver does without looking like ass

currently have a silver car & its my first.

i can attest to the fact that it can hide its filth but other than that meh, i like dark gray/charcoal color better. but my g/f has a black car and DO NOT WANT. lol.

I really like the dark gray colors. My Caddy hasn't had a bath for at least 6 months and it's really hard to tell it's dirty until you are up close. The car was black and was a pain to keep clean. My favorite color was the blue on my Mazdaspeed, but that only works on certain cars. All of my speeding tickets however came in a red car 😀

I like the darker shades of grey/charcoal like Ford's 'Mineral Grey' and 'Dark Shadow Grey'.

It can be glossy and shiny and full of depth and dark and sinister simultaneously and neutrally without being loud and gaudy. Especially with simple machined finished wheels, dark tint, and a fresh wax and water beads and a 35mm camera.

Deep metallic blues are pretty sexy too, esp on square edgy angular styled cars.

But silver is kinda meh yeah. It's never caught my eye in either a good or bad way, and is kinda a "I don't know what color car I want" color.

White is #1 in the US, but silver is #1 in the rest of the world.

I've owned two red cars, two white cars, a blue car, and my current car is a dark metallic grey.

I got mine in silver because of the whole hide dirt thing. At the time, I had never actually seen a silver Dakota on the road. After I got mine, they started showing up everywhere and it's almost uncommon to see one as NOT silver.

I saw a 350Z in a color other than silver once.

...just once though.

I have silver on my current car and I'm done with the color once I go to another car. Looking for something in the red range.

I have silver now but I'd rather go with something darker. It definitely hides the fact that I need a car wash.

Yeah I'm really sick of seeing all silver, white, and light grey cars. When silver was a "new" color about 10 years ago, I didn't mind it. Now I'm just getting sick of it.

same here. my ex loved white vehicles, my mom always buys silver cars. i cant stand either one of the colors for my own vehicles. it does hide the dirt better, but i compensate by washing my blue truck. speaking of, it rained last week and i need a wash. dust and rain gives a cool pattern tho, its kind of different looking.

i don't take my silver car out nearly as much as i'd like:

i was intentionally avoiding silver and wound up with a black car. never again will i buy a black car. looked great at the dealer, but 67k miles later, the front end is so chipped, it's hard to get the car looking good unless there's no sun.

I prefer white cars. I've never been hit in a white car... I've been hit in lots of other cars I've owned though, red, black, blue, green, etc.
