Alright, now, I havent even touched the damn CPU core or Memory frequency's. I ran 3DMark 2001 as soon as it was installed and I get nice framerates but it glitches....a frequent 'pausing' lasting LESS then a second occurs. I have a 1ghz PC with 256megs of ram. It froze in win2k. In XP it doesnt freeze just 'pauses'. Has anybody encountered this at all? Thanks for your time.

Jesse

Oh yea, I'm running the newest detonator drivers as well.

Well, did you get AGP fix for AThlon/ Nvidia? Well... here is the link to one of em:

Well, i hope this helps

I have 2 computer systems with the configuration below. On both systems I have experienced the exact same thing. I get a VERY frequent 'pausing' glitch during game play.

OS: Windows 98SE
mobo: Epox 8hka+
cpu: Athlon XP 1700
ram: micron pc2100 256mb
vid card: Siluro gf3 ti200
sound card: sb live!

I have tried re-installing windows, detonator xp 23.11 drivers, manugacturer siluro gf3 drivers, updating via 4-in-1 drivers, updating to directx 8.1, swapping vid cards from either system, and different resolutions and color depths, and nothing helped. I tried almost all combinations of bios settings, and nothing really helped much, except when I disabled the on-board USB. It helped alot, but it still has glitches just not as frequent.

I have only tried 5 games so far, and this problem occurs while running Black & White, Operation Flashpoint v1.46, and C&C Renegade; IL-2 Sturmovich & AVP2 work just fine, no glitches at all. I have tried selecting different in-game video settings and nothing seemed to effect the glitches better or worse.

When I had an older Evga GF2 mx400 in the system the games didn't look as pretty with all the filtering options but they ran ALOT smoother, without any glitches at all.

A friend of mine suggested I try taking my sb live out of my system, because it might be causing some kind of interferance with the vid card. If this works for me I'll let you know. And if anyone else has any ideas, please help us. 🙂

Bstylez, that is something we have in common, we have a SB Live. I'm going to try and remove it when I get home at around 6pm. I will reply as soon as I find out. Feel free to IM Me at Eee0r. This has to be it.

I happen to have the same problem while playing medal of honor (MOHAA). I'll get a framerate of around 90fps then about every 5 seconds it jump down to 60fps. It is consistant through out all game play. It's driving me nuts! I've tried everything. Drivers, updated bios turned off all background apps and services. It also does it to me in Windows Media Player when i viewing the Visualiztions.

My System
Abit BE6-II rev 2
P-3 800e overclocked @ 1.0 GHZ
Windows XP Pro
ASUS V7700 Geforce GTS Deluxe using Reference XP DET drivers.
Sound Blaster Live! Platnum w/Live Drive.
Maxtor 27gig 7200rpm drive (Master)
Maxtor 10gig 5400rpm drive (Secondary slave)
HP 9100i CDRW
256meg PC 133 Cas 2 Micron
3Com 10/100 Eitherfast lan card

Somebody please help!
