Question Silly question probably. Can you use Windows 10 with Office 2010 ?

My user seems to think there is a problem. She sent me some documents that were created in office 2010 (word and excel) and I opening them in office 2007 and win 10.

I think she will be fine.

Excel XP/2002 is problematic on Windows 10 (the last issue I saw was Excel crashing a lot with I think Win10 that had just received the 1803 update and Excel had been fine beforehand).

One customer had a few burps with Outlook 2003, I think caused by Windows updates on two occasions requiring a repair install of Outlook. In the end I think we grew tired of regularly having to fix it and I imported all of her stuff into Thunderbird.

Office 2007 and later have no issues with Win10 AFAIK.

One of the PCs I support has Office 2010 installed w/ W10 1909, no issues whatsoever. However, Microsoft will be dropping Office 2010 support on the 13th of October, 2020, but you could continue using it just like the previous Office Suites (2003 and up).

I have Office 2010 on my Windows 10 Toshiba laptop and it works just fine. Only issue you may encounter down the road, is if you use Outlook for email access, sometimes the email providers change the security protocols and older versions of an email client will no longer access your email accounts. Other than that it works fine.
