Before I pull the trigger on this card I just need to be sure it will support 1680x1050. I'm sure it does but I can't seem to find a firm answer on the web, including ATI's web site. Going to order one plus the best Thermalright cooler for it. Thanks.

let me tell you, it looks freaking awsome on my gateway 2185, if you havent already bought the card, you will be a happy camper if you do...I am totally satisfied with mine.

**EDIT**
before you go with the cooler you have selected, you should look into the newer zalman, it is fraking sweet

Do you know if it will support the resolution of my lcd? 1680x1050

I chose the Thermalright cooler after it won a comparisson test round up of many different models including the Zalman. It's an awesome cooler. Expensive though.

the new zalman? I read a review on the vf1 ultra... the review was done with that and a 6800 gt
read this and notice that this reviewer is using a more modern card that generates much more heat, the zalman vf900 beats the pants off the others in the review.

the op is not looking to cool a 6800... he is looking at the 1900xt, I think that the clear winner is going to be the vf900, but hey I could be wrong, a cooler designed for a card 2 generations old may be a better bet for a currant gen card, but I doubt it.

This is one of the tests I used to help determine my choice.

In this side by side comparison the VF900 was clearly something, but unfortunately it was not the winner.

FROM ARTICLE
The Zalman coolers I believe have become so popular through their unique appearances, rather than their quiet operating volume and impressive performance. Nevertheless, the Zalman VF700-Cu and VF900-Cu have evolved into very competitive products. Although they cannot match the Thermalright products performance wise, they are much cheaper to purchase and easier to install. Furthermore, both VGA coolers look very impressive and can be suited to both ATi and NVIDIA graphics cards
