Hey all
So Im about to replace the stock amd cooling for my AMD 975 with a Cooler Master Hyper TX3. Sadly due to its size on my motherboard (sabertooth 990FX) my ram in Dimm slot 1 is too close. Im currently using 2 sticks of 4gig Corsair DDR1600 in slots 1 and 3 for dual channel.
Is there any performance loss or anything negative about switching to channels 2 and 4 to make room for this heatsink?

=\ heavy noob question i know

It will be fine.
If the ran heatsink is in the way you can always take it off.

Actually the Mobo manual says to put the sticks in A2/B2 if only using two dimms. Which is DIMM slot 2 and 4, so your good.
