Silently Cool Geforce 6600GT?

I used to have a Geforce 4600 Ti that was passively cooled with a Zalman HS. That lasted for 2.5 years, until it mysteriously died, so I upgraded to Geforce 6600GT. Because my system is otherwise extremely quiet this new card is very loud. Is there a passively cooled solution for this card, or at least some way I can upgrade the fan to not be so whiny?

Thanks

normally the arctic cooling nv silencer would be the most recommended, but i heard that it wont fit because of the pci->agp chip ont he card. so i sorta thought you should try this

Thanks reiniku. It looks pretty good, and Zalman has always worked well for me. Also, i just ordered the leadtek version of the card because the PNY I got at Fry's has the shrouded HS, which generally adds more to noise.

Just a warning on the new one...read a pretty bad review stating it really doesn't perform well from a cooling perspective. Not sure where I read that though.

I have the Leadtech 6600GT and it is more quiet than the XFX 6600GT I have in my other machine but it is still louder than I would like. I am strongly considering the ZM80D-HP with the fan for quiet cooling.

XFX 6600GT is like a vacuum cleaner, anyway I have the ZM-80D coming tomorrow to fix that.

I have the MSI 6600gt -- it's completely silent. Get this one if you want quiet.

5. The Nipples MUST be tightened by hand.
Using tools to tighten the nipples may break the tip of the nipples.
:D

sorry, found it on the link to that zalman

The 6600GT doesn?t draw much power, a passive Zalman HS would be more then adequate. Your 2nd best option would be the VF-700.
