i'm looking for an amd reccomended power supply for a 1.4 system i'm building. i'm putting it in a fong kai 320 case that im getting from directron.com they allow the option to upgrade the PS, but i'm not sure which one i should go to. (it is a 300w by default, but i figure why not go all out?) i'm not going to overclock this system (with an ecs mobo its not even an option) so i'd like to make it pretty quiet. what brand? antecs are pretty quiet all around i think, tbut there are quite a few listed in the upgrade options box that i have never heard of.

what to get????

I'm looking to build a 1.4GHz with the ECS MB, and I found out that many people were having problems with only a 300Watt power supply. Upgrading the power supply to at least 350Watts or a quality 300Watt power supply usually ended up being the solution.

So might as well upgrade to a nice Enermax or something of that caliber while you have the opportunity.

[Edit] Forgot that you were looking for a silent power supply as well. It turns out that the Enermax Whispers are fairly quiet and can supply quite a bit of power.
