Silent PC

I've done some searching in the Caes & Cooling forum, but thought I'd post a new topic on this anyhow.

My computer is inherently loud. I just came across some extra cash, so I have about $200 to spend on my computer. The speed and such is all fine, its the sound I'm having problems with.

What is my best bet for around $200 (I'd go as high as $300 to do this properly) to make a near-silent PC? Water cooling?

I'll also add that I have a T-Bird 1GHz running at 1.33, and I'd like to keep it clocked this high, higher if possible.

Also, I should mention I want something fairly easy to do, I'm not the best at doing any extreme modifcations or anything.

Thanks everyone!

probably watercooling wiht 1 7v 120mm fan on the radiator to cool the cpu
http://2cooltek.safeshopper.com/51/277.htm?835 that for your mobo chip, no fan then
http://2cooltek.safeshopper.com/44/288.htm?835 stuff to put in your case, sides/top/bottom/front/back

I'd try to find a big heatsink to put on the video card so it doens't need a fan

get a enermax powersupply and take out the 80mm fan and just have the 92 in it
www.noiseconrol.de sells a harddrive cage thingy... i hear it really helps to quiet harddrive noise

if you're ever in the market for a new harddrive seagate's barracuda ATA IV is way quiet... they say 2.0bells - 20dba, which is put-your-ear-to-it-to-see-if-its-running noise level. It even has some acustic foam stuff on the bottom of the drive to queit some of its noise.

Thanks for the help. I'm thinking that Koolance system might be the way to go. It's already set up from the factory, all you have to do is install your components. Might be the most "idiot proof" way of doing things.
