Sorry for your loss OP

I suppose V8 is healthier then diet soda, but I am pretty sure V8 does not apply to that video. As the Enzymes are destroyed in the processing.

Hippy nonsense.

The one empirical study over time that he showed was based on eating tomato sauce 2-3 times a week.

Another example is the continued value of wine.

V8 juice is high sodium laden reconstituted crap. If you want to drink vegetable juice, get a juicer and juice your own.
Even non low-sodium has a proper balance of sodium and potassium; and it's an electrolytic imbalance, NOT simply high sodium, that causes the major problems associated with sodium.

Fresh straw berries and red grapes are good anti-cancer eating too :).

Definitely something for olds to look into.

that sucks :(

my grandfather died from pancreatic cancer... I was with him in August and he was feeling under the weather; he was diagnosed that September, and we buried him on Easter weekend of the same year.

Not to be a douche, but I think you have your time line messed up...

I should stop drinking diet sodas. My family history is riddled with cancer and I drink a SHIT TON of diet sod a day.

The video says nothing about diet soda, and it's an awesome video so you should watch it if you haven't : p There's plenty of ways to get those foods without drinking V8, and it's pretty common knowledge that they were good for preventing cancer before hand; it's just awesome to see the how and why and that there's targetable drugs for treating cancer coming from it.

Thanks again all.

My wife made an appointment yesterday to see the doctor. Today she said she may cancel it because if she did have it, she didn't want to know.
Her mother died from it after a long drawn out battle. She wasted away.
Her sister Penny, other than a swollen leg and a cough, lived normally right up till the moment she laid down to rest and passed away.

Stuff like this really makes you think. Penny's husband has been retired about a year and they were planning their travels. Now she's gone. And he's never done much for himself, she did all the cooking and housework. He's going to be lost without her.

Live is short, hug your loved ones and don't take them for granted.

Not cool at all. Very sorry to hear.
On a side note, why on earth does anyone drink diet drinks? Yuck.
