Came out on DVD last Tuesday. Watched it Friday night,......anyone else think it was creepy? Weird ? Twisted ? Strange ?
It finally helped me to at least understand the games that I've played. And what's going on in them.

Dark Nurses are creepy...

yah I saw it. I think it's one of the best, if not the best, video game to movie conversion.

my family watched it this weekend (sans me..i don't do scary movies)..and they said it was boring, confusing, and definitely NOT scary.

I still refuse to see it tho. heh.

I'm letting a friend of mine borrow it now...and he's not to hyped to watch it after seeing the Resident Evil movies , and DOOM.....but I thought that this movie actually broke the trend and did very well at sticking close to the game. Good special effects too.
I had the stereo cranked up , and the wife came home right at the end where she was going into the elevator to find the "demon". She told me to turn it down!! LOL! I made her sit with me and watch the end of it....when she saw her turn that last corner and see the hallway full of dark nurses...she was like "to hell with this , I'm going to have nightmares" Ha ha ha!! But she didn't get up and finished the movie with me.

good movie, but some things were out of place. like when she first drove into the city and crashed, then when it got to the next scene the car was on the raod with no damage. hah

It's kinda creepy, because you know the foster home they show in the movie? I live RIGHT beside it...it's a Masonic temple in Hamilton.

And that hotel? It's called the Lister block, a Hamilton landmark (For being a run-down POS). They didn't even bother removing the streetsigns...I used to pass by it every day.

I live in Silent Hill!

Gonna have to find a time to watch it without the woman since she can't handle these kind of movies.

Only "scary" movie I can get her to watch is Dawn of the Dead, which she actually likes.

That's how mine is. She really dislikes anything gory........She made it a point to tell me she'd never let our children watch movies with their father.

without giving away too much, i would just cut out the three gory scenes for her:
one involving pyramid head
second one involving :( a certain person getting burned
third one is the end

:D

seems like a lot of people liked silent hill. who was the director? why can't they give more game adaptation movies to him instead of the god awful Uwe Boll

SO RIGHT!! I edited that out....fix your quotes!!!! The scene with Pyramid Head that you speak of......I know exactly what you are talking about...but it's so quick you don't really get to see anything.

It sucked ass. One of the worst movies I've seen. Yes I enjoyed the games but it doesn't change the fact that the movie was horrible.

Christopher Gans, the guy who directed Brotherhood of the Wolf (great movie if you haven't seen it).

Personally, I was a bit dissapointed with Silent Hill though. It started off good, but I didn't like the direction it took towards the end. Not that it wasn't a well made movie, it just didn't work for me.

much, much longer than it should have been. it really didn't need to be drawn out to just over 2 hours.

**spoilers below to clarify the above***

**you've been warned***

it's two whole different worlds. the real world did have the crashed truck; the silent hill world was pretty much its own dimension. they were dead at the time of the crash and were reset (can't find a better term), along with the truck, in silent hill.

That part was RIGHT freaky...but the ending, with the borg queen and the barbed wire...OMGWTF.

Just watched it yesterday. WOW I have to say that has to be the scariest movie I've ever seen....ESPECIALLY after playing the game. Yuck I get the creeps.

Good movie. Never played the games so I was confused about some parts.

That Pyramid head guy is creepy. What is the backstory on him?

I didn't like it. The beginning followed the whole "stupid horror movie cliche". I just wanted to slap her for being so stupid.
