Silencio! (Corsair AF 120 Quiet Edition)

Just installed a pair of Corsair AF 120 Quiet Edition @ 7V in my case. What a difference! Definitely an improvement over the stock fans. The installation was straight forward, and nice that they include 7V resistor so that you can run them at slow speed without any hiccups. Very nice package. They also have rubber mountings to minimize vibrations.

Worth a consideration if you're looking for some quiet case fans.

Yeah I've heard good things about them as well. It'd be nice to try one and compare to Noiseblocker's eLoop fans

I'd expect the Noiseblockers to make less sound per RPM, but Corsair AF120 to move more air per RPM. I think the design of the blade Noiseblockers is revolutionary but with additional improvements they could be in yet another class. Combine eLoop joined blade tips with Silverstone AP123 variable blade shape and front grille, then put in an AF120 frame and use a Scythe Slipstream bearing = ultimate fan 😱

I actually had some Noiseblocker fans when I has a water loop, unfortunately the loop wasn't tight so some of the water ran into the fans killing them 😛

I think there's a reason to small nuances in fan design that makes mixing and matching fan designs not feasible without compromising other aspects. Maybe you could design that ultimate fan. Here's Kickstarter to get your started.

Luckily my Noiseblocker XLP's are on top. 😛

I have 4 Corsair Quiet edition fans in my case. Two AF's up top and two SP's on my H60. They are not cheap, but I love them.
