silencing the ECS KN1 extreme

Hi guys,

so I found the perfect mobo for my next computer (my old one is sooo bad, check my signature), it's cheap, well performing and has all the option I want

ECS KN1 extreme

unfortunately everybody is saying it's too noisy and I am trying to make an almost silent PC (seasonic PSU, XP-90, nexus fans) and I am afraid I can't use the mobo.
Does anyone have it ? Is it that noisy ? Is there any mod one can do ? There's two fans : one on the north bridge and one in the air vent at the back. Can they be changed and/or stopped or slowed down ?

Also if anybody has any suggestion for a good not-too-noisy 6600 or 6600GT I would appreciate.
