Finally a sign of spring, snow is melting fast. I'm sure we have more storms ahead of us, but nice to get some hot days. Went for a walk with no coat today, in fact I probably should have wore shorts, it was at least 15C and I was pretty hot at the end of it.

I killed a spider yesterday. Was the first bug I see in 2015. I probably should have let it live, in celebration.

Speaking of spiders, I heard if you expose them to lot of oxygen they grow bigger. I kinda want to try that, for science, but another part of me says "Are you nuts?".

I sometimes consider it TBH, but there's lot of perks to living here too, cheap(er) housing, no long commute, family is here, etc. Lot of small touristy places down south too though, there's not just the GTA, so definitely could find a nice area that's like here if I tried hard enough. Maybe when I retire.

Of all the things that bit, pinched or stung me growing up, a big red centipede was by far the worst. And after I ever so gently scooped him up to avoid crushing my new bait too!

I heard that the oxygen millions of years ago was higher and I was thinking this is why things like flowers were so much bigger. Reminds me of the time of the Eloi in the movie The Time Machine. The first one that is. The fruit was huge!

Only one pile of snow left in my yard, about 2 feet high. Otherwise, I'd have to look really hard in the woods to find more piles in shaded areas.

Both the CO2 and O2 in the atmosphere were much more plentiful. Lots of CO2 is very good for all the plant life and lots of O2 leads to increased size of animal life especially insects.
