Signing an email with ,MBA after your name?

So yesterday at work I get an email from one of our users and she has signed her name, and then put MBA after. So it was like, "Jane Smith, MBA." I have never seen anyone do that, and thought it was the weirdest thing. Do people really do that, or is she just being weird/stuck-up/crying for attention?

BTW, I could SWEAR there was a thread on this topic in the past here, but I'll be damned if I can find it. So save the repost comments.

What an idiot (the girl).

Why don't you reply and sign your name something funny.

Like trmiv, No Graduate Degree, No $100,000 debt.

I've noticed it before, but never really thought about it. If they crave the attention who gives a sh!t.

"is she just being weird/stuck-up/crying for attention?"

yes and:

I would laugh if I saw that at my work. I would probably lose respect for her and put anything she asks for at the bottom of the to-do list.

Professional accountants always have their letters after their names around here, so I guess an MBA isn't that much different.

I work in tech support and I got an email from a guy asking for help. He signed his email with "John Doe, MCSE". I thought that was retarded.

It is only common to put the initials behind the name for professions where it actually means something, like M.D., D.D.S., C.A., etc. I would be embarrassed to put MBA on my signature.

Why don't you sign just the accountant part like CPA. That's like Dr. or whatever. Why are you signing your BA? Who the hell cares?

Had a high-school teacher who's first & middle initials were D. R., so he liked to sign his name that way, so it looks like he has a doctorate degree.

I've seen that for Doctors (MD, OD, PHD, etc) and is fairly common

Never for anything less than that.

I always include the length of my e-penis in all correspondence, but never my job title.

Yea, that's what most people around here do (I'd rather not even put my title, but management requires it). The only other people where I work that put things following their names are the doctors or nurses.

who does that? An insecure POS who gets kicked to the curb regularly for a consistent lack of common sense. They HAVE to respond somehow, dont they?:p
