Signal too weak...

Hi guys,

I recently moved my TV across my apartment and found that it says "signal too weak or unavailable" when I hooked it into a longer piece of coax I had lying around.

Currently, the cable comes into the apartment and is split to the TV and to the modem. Is the splitter causing the problem? Or do I simply have a bad length of coax?

Thanks,

Beau

A single split shouldn't be causing a problem like that. Could just be a bad cable or you have a bad drop from the line going into the apartment.
