Sigh - question for Ubuntu users

I've set no username onto my Ubuntu lappy, and it still demands one - does anyone know the default user log in for ubuntu?

boot live cd, mount file systems, chroot into system, run passwd to set pw

to do this search ubuntu forums for password reset or something like that... they have a lot of good resources over there.

You should setup a user account. Using root is a bad idea.

It doesn't have you do that during the install?
