what do you mean by loose? no card must be loose once properly inserted in its slot! the gold contacts on the card should be visible also...make sure it's properly inserted

Nah I put the fan/heatsink back on, w/ that Arctic Silver 5. It displays now @ least. It's a little loose compared to my old pc's pci cards and agp cards, as in it wiggles a little left and right, but I got it a little more stable after screwing it in.

what monitor are you using...maybe it is posting - but you cant see anything because the screen is set to dvi and you are using analog. Dell 2001fp's have a switch to transfer from different signals. Make sure your monitor is picking it up on dvi if you are using it or analog if you are using that.

Does that board have any LED display , or lights, or anything that changes thru the boot process? If it does, what does it stop on?

Put the video card in the slot closer to the CPU and you should be good to go 😀

make sure everythings securly fastened on the video output. Play around with the Crt to see if it has different channels for picking up signals.

Is the Heatsink Fan Pin connected to the mobo on the right place?

Did you damage the cpu at all? - While putting artic silver or inserting the cpu (pulling lever back)?

Is the video card securly fastened down?

I see that you have a Sata hdd...you will need to load drivers up for that when it posts into windows. Try a different hdd.

Do you have other video cards you can try?

Ah ... good call ... didn't see that.

You'll want a stick in each of the ORANGE slots (leave the yellow slots empty), not how you've got it configured there.
