sigh, ive lost a lot of respect for tomshardware...

Yea its kinda late and pointless. I havent read it nor will I ever (no reason to) so I dont know if he screwed up on some other stuff

if you read it youll understand what im talking about. objective reporting? youd think the writers were having an orgasm over the xbox

I found one thing wrong with the Geforce 4 article: they made no mention of the delay of the Ti4200....that's probably the big one that we're all waiting for, much like the Ti200. It's unfortunate that I have to read other articles to fill in on what the Tomshardware Geforce 4 article is missing....

I agree.

uhh... shut up Tom.

Well, Tom didn't write that article. But I agree, Tom sucks. He's arrogant, pompous and egomaniac.

I realize Tom didn't write it, 4 freaky last named people wrote it. 4 people for one article? christ.

Yeah
I lost respect when the thunderbird VS P4 article came out

it was like
"ok P4 wins this benchmark and this benchmark and this benchmark and almost wins this one, hmmm, where is that Intel version?"

the conclusion said
"even though the P4 is running at a 50% higher clock and the athlon beat it senseless, get a P4!"
"Because Intel rules! AMD sucks! yeah!"

They even went as far as to overclock the P4 to 1.75 (460 bus) and use that score against the Athlon TB 1.2 (266 bus)

Tom's has been a staple of mine, always in the favorites list, for probably 4 years. I have to agree though, there is hardly anything new and excited posted. They focus too much on consumer electronics and the very unexciting sides of the computer industry. Why the hell do I care about the future of flash memory? GTFO of here. I don't think he's biased, but I do think the creativity, informity, and writing has gone down the tubes. I still go there if I'm dying to pass some time, but Anandtech is definately better (although, sorely lacking lately...along with most of the hardware sites I've visited for the past couple years).

I Lost all Respect for Him & his sight when the reviews turned in favor whith whoever gives him the most advertising dollars...

Hmm, its a comprehensive article about the XBox as it is released to the public, not a hastily done 'test' of a pre-production unit...I'm wondering why that would reduce the respectability of THW?
