Sigh, I cannot get to sleep...

I just got up again... Tried to lay down and go to sleep. I've got a 9am flight in the morning, another "VIP" wants to go somewhere... Blah...

To fly at 9am, I've got to get up at 7am, check the weather, get my gear together, take a shower, dress (always important), and drive to the hanger. Then I've got to pull out the helicopter, pre-flight it, check weather again, and hope the flight is still on.

If it is, then the customer shows up with 18 seconds to spare and doesn't understand why we cannot take off at 9am SHARP! Ugg... 🙂

ATC will probably have delays for us because of the morning flight rush, the customer won't understand, bahh...

Sigh...

I love my job... 🙂

Going to try to go back to sleep now... 🙂

PV = PITA VIP

PITA = Pain in the a** 🙂

We call em PVs so no one knows what we're talking about. I'll ask the front desk lady if the PV is here yet... 😉 She just smiles and says no usually...

If Thumper were here, I could be asleap in 15 minutes... Err... well, maybe not, she hates it when I do that. 😀

:Q How did you keep awake?!

I worked a 38 hr shift once at Home Depot when the CEO decided to pay a visit to our store. I did take 3 1 hr lunches to take powernaps though.

55 hrs is insane.

My internal clock was thrown off by sleeping till 4 3 days in a row. I tried to stay away during the day, so taht I could sleep at night, but I couldn't sleep at night, cuz my body thought that's when it was supposed to be awake...it was rough...finally after 55 hours i got to sleep and my clock is back to 'normal'....which is still thrown off from the average person's, im kinda nocturnal by nature.

A friend of mine flies the 757/767 for AA out of LGA/JFK/EWR. He lives down here at the bottom of NJ, has to be up, dressed and packed...then drive 1hr 45min-2hr 30min to the airport, then do whatever he does to get the flight in the air (OPS, ect.). He'll leave here at noon for a 5pm flight.

I wish I could sleep.....I have a program due Tuesday, along with econ homework that I haven't looked at yet, so the can of Coke's empty, and the Red Bull's for when the lids start drooping. 🙂

I am fearing tomorrow night. My normal sleep schedule has me sleeping from about 4am-12pm. Tuesday morning they are supposed to come by my hotel room to wake me up for the AFOQT at 4am. I know exactly whats going to happen...I'll go to sleep tomorrow night about 8 or 9 oclock, wake up at midnight or 1am, and finally get tired again at about 4am. This happened to me prolly 50 times when i was in school.

same here... i probably didn't sleep for somewhere 60 hrs last week... friday night came, got messed up, came home early and crashed on the bed, woke up saturday at 1130 and i was back to normal... odd, first time that has ever happened to me. 😱

Ya know what, last week I was up for 55 straight hours.

Doing this led to the 2nd time in my life that I slept for 24 hours in a row. Stayed up during finals week from wednesday 7am till my last final which ended at about 5pm on friday. went back packed up and left for home at about 7pm. Got home at about 7am. amazing that I didn't fall asleep at the wheel 😱

My bedroom at the time had no windows and no clocks and is fairly isolated from the rest of the house. Woke up a few times throughout the next 24 hours, but was always able to fall back asleep within 5 or 10 mins. Had no idea how long i'd been in there when i actually got up.
