u know, i would have upgraded from my old sidekick to the new one if they had added just one thing... Java support! i mean, the speaker phone is nice, the camera is still unecessary, but Java compatibility in their web browser would have been killer. there's a few sites that require java enabled browsers that i just can't access with the sidekick, like my bank or credit card.. and i mean, who wouldn't be playing yahoo java games all day on their sidekick?? oh well, guess u can't win them all...

personally i just read a review about the RIM blackberry 7100t that makes me want to ditch my sidekick for it...

Do you know if this works for current t-mobile sidekick users and lets me keep my #? My contract has been up for a long time, and I have a b&w sidekick. Not that I really have 200 bucks to spend anyway..

The speakerphone is more than nice, it is AWESOME and the camera is a huge convenience for me now. I would like java support but I don't have as much problems as you. I use wellsfargo and their site has some javascript but not enough to prevent me from checking my balance and other things I need it for. I'm still getting used to the keyboard, but the size difference is very nice. Overall build quality and look of the device is much better too. I'd recommend at least looking and playing around with one. I think the upgrade is well worth it.
