Side View Mirror Glass

Anyone know of somewhere to purchase a side view mirror glass replacement for a Subaru Legacy? I can't seem to find anywhere online by searching on Google, and the shop down the road is asking a boatload to fix the whole unit. I'm just looking for the glass.

my car is black so i didnt have to paint it.... it shouldnt cost that much though...

how much was the local shop asking for?>

My wife busted ours twice - first shattered the glass (but it held), second cracked the casing. I never thought to check Ebay.

See if you can get just the glass piece. There was an article in a recent Handyman that showed how to replace the glass yourself.

My casing was cracked by a city bus, they refuse to pay for it though claiming I don't have proof. It's a pain in the arse I say.

Trying to find the glass itself, then gorilla glue and mickey mouse the thing together. It'll be good as new.

If you want to replace the whole thing, you can probably find it for about $40-$70. Labor from any decent shop shouldn't run more than $70.

hmmm... I had both mirrors replaced in my vehicle by the local glass shop, the cost was like $80 for parts and labor. Something special with your vehicle?
