Gaaaaaah.....

On the one hand, this guy has the right to free speech. On the other hand, this guy should NOT be anywhere near a school where he has contact with underage children. That's just sick.

I don't have kids yet, but God knows if I found out that this guy was teaching at my school, I would definitely be campaigning for his dismissal, not to mention threatening him with castration if he laid a finger on my kids.

Technically, he hasn't committed a crime yet that the authorities are aware of, much as I hate to say it. However, allowing him to be in contact with children like that is sick and wrong.

If he advocates it, he's DOING it. He may not have gotten caught at it yet, but he is STILL braking the law. And this is ONE law I wholeheartedly agree with!

If I advocate killing the president, I should go to jail for murdering George Bush then?

Technically he hasn't done anything wrong yet.

Considering how public this was, if he HAD abused any of his students there would have been allegations by now.

I though it was something Southpark made up.

Yes, it's real.

I'm pretty sure the other NAMBLA -- National Association of Marlon Brando Look-Alikes -- was real as well, at least for a while. I'm pretty sure they changed their name though.

It's illegal to say "I'm going to kill the Prez."

Do you really believe that someone as out spoken as this guy is about child Porn. and all the rest is NOT guilty of having broken the law?

Get real.

You think he doesn't have a stash of child pron hidden away someplace?

All GOOD laws IMO should have two criteria. To protect the weak, and the innocent. Who is more weak than the young? This guy want's to advocate having sex with them. This law was written FOR this guy and those like him!

You're most likely correct. BUT, the problem is, he hasn't been caught doing anything illegal or been accused of doing anything illegal yet. Until one of those things happens, he walks free. :| :disgust:

Mores the shame.

They can arrest and imprison someone holding drugs for "intent", too bad they can't do the same to people like this!

HAHAHAHA. Peter Meltzer was my high school physics teacher at the Bronx High School of Science in NYC. He got kicked out a few years after I graduated (1989) for being the Treasurer for the NE Chapter of NAMBLA. HEHEHE. Very nice article. HE was kind of an oddball. Rumor had it he still lived at home with his mother while I was going there.

Oh, BTW, as far as I know he was always appropriate with the students. I never heard of any indiscretions and he always did a good job with physics. That stuff never made it into the classroom...as far as I can remember.

There's a difference between advocating killing the president and saying that you're going to do it. Saying "I think someone should kill the present" is advocacy. Saying "I'm taking my shotgun to the white house, and I'm gonig to shoot the president in the face" are two different things. Also, saying "I think it should be legal to have sex with kids" and "I'm going to go home and have sex with a 14 year old" are two different things.

Do I think this guy has issues? Yes. Is there any evidence that he has done anything illegal? No.
You can't be prosecuted in the US just because you belong to an unpopular group.

Very true.

I just hope they keep a REAL close eye on this guy and his ilk.

Though I'm sure they are! ;)

Saddest part is that if anyone decided to solve the problem on their own, ensuring that he could never do anything with kids (You figure that out) that in six month the same court system that protected that guy with his freedom of speech would see to it inside of six months that you're sharing a jail sell with a guy named Bubba for the next 25 to life.

Considering there was a case of an admitted "high risk" sex offender being released in a town near me, and he wasn't out more than a week before he was picked up on violation of his parole by hanging around a park with young kids playing in it, I think it's high time we stop wasting resourses on people like that.
