Obviously, use the latest BIOS right?

Apparently you're supposed to use BIOS revision XXX if you have Driver CD version YYY. Erm... okay?

Well, I'm kindof confused. Am I supposed to follow the instructions, or can I just download the latest 4-in-1's (which I'm gonna anyway), and support files, flash the BIOS and be on my merry way? Or am I supposed to use an older BIOS for some other hardware reason other than the drivers on the CD?

I'm kindof confused.

The Current BIOS (what shipped) is the FV24STVA, and the accompanying driver disc for it (254 I think).

Am I safe to update the BIOS on this little beastie? I was just installing WinXP for the first time and it locked detecting hardware (been there before on other boards), so I'm thinking a BIOS update might be in order.

Help would be appreciated to anyone in the know.

BTW: Me likey. This sucker is TINY!!!

just go to shuttle and download the newest BIOS to flash. the shipping BIOS does not include the feature to disable onboard video (important if you want to use a PCI video card and want to improve your memory performance) while all of their new BIOSes support this. you will be just fine with the newest BIOS, the newest 4-in-1, and the sound/video drivers on the CD.
