is the shared video (128MB) decent enough for a casual gamer? Any suggests on where the best CPU deal is?

from what I understand the integrated video is supposed to be about equivalent to a GF4 MX 440.

newegg has the 1700+ tbred for $49.99 and the 2100+ for $108

Shared video is never a good option if you plan on 1600x1200 game play. But if you're attaching this device to a tv where the resolution would be limited to 800x600 at most, then it's more than enough power.

now thats true, but I bet he wouldn't have any problem playing Counter-strike at 1600x1200@100fps though. I got a GF4 Go in my lappy and its capable of it

hey guess what.. it has an AGP 8X slot.. haha.

upgrade to whatever video card you want and this system will kick ass.
