Hi All,

I am new here, my problem is:

Whenever i shutdown my PC it takes more time to go off, almost forever.
Hard power off only solution for me but it boot much faster.

Can anyone explain whats wrong with my system?

PC Info:
Windows 7 64B Enterprice
Intel Xeon 3.5GHz, 4 Core
32 GB Ram
 
Event Viewer, under Administrative tools. Look at Application and System under Windows logs. You should see something around the time of the forced shutdown that can give you a culprit.

Have an external drive plugged in USB? There aren't the only culprit, by far, but are pretty common in these situations. Drives shared over a network connection is another big one.

It was working fine, but i guess i installed USB3 driver reneses 1 day, is this problem

In Windows 7:
Control Panel
View by: Small Icons
Administrator Tools
Event Viewer
(not these are all listed in time order. There is a lot on this page, so you may want to go full screen).
On the left panel, select Windows logs, click the arrow, and select System.
Scroll down to the time period of the last time you turned it off and see if there are any red or yellow icons. Tell us what they say.
 
Specifically, what are you talking about in terms of quantifiable time?

As per event viewer

The Software Protection service entered the stopped state. @ 19:00:49

then

The Event log service was stopped. @ 19:05:46

why there is 5 mins time delay for stopping event log?
there is no Red or Yellow mark
 
Interesting. Does 5 minutes sound like the amount of your delay?

1. First thing to try it turning on your computer. let it load up, and then immediately turn it off. Is there a delay? If yes...

2. Unplug everything external except mouse, keyboard and, screen and do the same as 1, Is there a delay?

3. Turn your computer on in safe mode, and do the same as 2. Is there a delay?

The computer is waiting on something, we just need to find out what it is.
