shutdown problem

I'm having some trouble with my new computer. I just got back from vacation, and when I got to shutdown my computer, it starts back up instantly. Its not on restart, so its not that. I'm completely stumped on this, and any feedback would be great. thanks

Which OS are you using? I know the Win98se has a Windows Update patch that helps...

regular windows 98. It worked fine before, but then this thing just started up, it sucks

What kind of motherboard are you using?

Do a search for a similar subject. There was loads of things to try to get it to work correctly. Here is a start.
