Hey all,
I just bought a brand new AMD Athlon XP 2.0 w/ MSI K7t266 Pro2-A mobo. I've installed all drivers, bios, software, etc.... and everything is workin perfectly. But i'm having a problem shutting down. Everytime i press Start > Shutdown, it restarts. Even if just press the OFF button on th system itself, it restarts instead of shutting down. I tried lookin in the bios, and i found the screen where it asks what to do when pressed the OFF button. But stilll, no luck.

Btw. I'm running Windows XP Pro

anyone whats wrong with this 'ish???

:D

Do you have Roxio EZ CD Creator 5.x installed on this computer? I was having the same problem and found that there is a patch to the program (Roxio) to fix this? You could download the patch from www.roxio.com and search for the Windows XP patch?

I hope you have better luck than me. I started a thread in the operating systems forum a few days ago because I have the same problem. I am running an XP1700 on an MSI KT3 Ultra2. Search for "shutdown" in all forums and you will find several threads on this and similar topics. Try this site here .
