Shutdown patch for Win2k?

Would anyone know of where I can get such a patch? When I try to shutdown my machine, it doesn't turn off, but rather gives me the "It is not safe to turn off your machine" message.

That's not a win2k issue. Try turning ACPI Based OS on or off in the BIOS.

I'm pretty sure you meant it is now safe to shut down, not "It is not safe to shut down..

Anyways you will need to enable power management in your system's bios, you should post this in the operating systems or general hardware forum.

Uninstall your adaptec cdr software.

Go to Power Options in the Control Panel and click the APM Tab.
Make sure that "Enable Advanced Power Management" is checked.
It should do the trick.
