in result/consequence, my homework is now late. I've just been marked down because I didn't turn in my assignments before 12AM, the midnight into Saturday.

...the title of the thread is a little dissapointing. minorities, it's not a matter of global respect, but with respect to their immediate surroundings within a community or nation, etc. Though globally, it is a widespread issue.

I'm wondering if you walk into China, and you're not of their ethnic background, the likelihood of discrimination you just might receive?

If I was to walk into China as you say (or LIVING IN), I would instantly try to learn the language and have the same mannerisms to not feel like an outcast. Learning everything I could ASAP.

You go into China talking like a Hillbilly w/a Cajun accent, you're Fucked! U pay Hi Price for evryteng and you lable ideeot merican!!

Same goes for if I moved to Mexico (heaven forbid), I would absorb all that I could and not be as ignorant as the Mexicans coming to our country. They don't want to learn!!!!!!!!!! Plain and simple......... I've worked with them in the past.
