Shut down problem with Milennium

Hi there

I have a problem with shutting down my PC when I am using W Milennium. It sounds like my harddisks are shutting down proberly but the cpu and my extra fans are still running at shutdown.

Another problem with my Milennium config is when trying to install additional hardware the computer are building up the driver database, but after about 20 sec the system freezes up.

When shutting down from W2000 or W98SE I dont seem to have any problems.

Please dont tell me that its due to my O@C, because it have been working before.

Cheers

if you've not already done so, disable sb emulation in device manager to see if it helps.
also have a read here on troubleshooting ME shutdown issues! 🙂

I have the same problem, thanks for the link. Also, do you have cable or DSL? Try unplugging your comp from your modem then shutting down. It works for me, but it's a hastle!
