I am eagerly awaiting their arrival. If anyone is interested in a mini review of the dual-driver goodness these Shures are sure to offer, let me know. I'll turn this epenis++ thread into something helpful.

By the way, I paid $200 + tax locally for brand new. And no, it wasn't from a white van or cardboard 'shoppe'.

how are they? I remember ordering my friend some E3Cs, but clearly my Karajan Audio from my DFI board is not good enough to give me good audio =(

how did you get that price?! i'm in the market for new headphones and i was going to jump on the e4c's for 160, but if i could get the e5's for 200+ tax i'd rather go that route

I have the E3C's. They sound great - although lacking a bit in the bass dept. I've tried the Super.fi 5 EB ones and man, i've never heard so much bass come out of earbuds. Only thing that sucked... they were so freakin huge! They looked weird when inserted in your ears since they stuck out so far.

I'll post some pictures when I get around to it, and compare them to my Senns, Sonys, and iCrap.
