you're not going to get a lot of people here that even know who schumacher is... and if they do they probably hate him for winning everything. :D

We all know the first race starting at 0 mph/kph/knots will be won by the Car, and it sound's like the second should be the jet.

Half the airshows I've seen have had these type of aircraft/car races.

Lets make it more fun and use a grass or dirt strip and a 130 Herc vs a car.

Who is this Shumacher that you speak of? Is that the guy who has a Jay Leno chin and drives around in a little go cart with a purdy red racing suit?

according to my calculations for the Eurofighter, it has a 0-60 time of 3.48 seconds with nothing but 2000 kg of fuel (a relatively light load). check them if you want--the official web page says 90,000 N thrust and empty weight of 9752 kg.

i would guess that the ferrari accelerates slightly faster than that to 60 (no published numbers) but the EF acceleration increases linearly while the ferrari goes logarithmically. there are a whole host of other factors here like the friction on the EF but, depending on the length of the course, I bet it will be close.

i love it!

He is going to beat the jet on the short race but be stomped like a tiny ant on the longe race. If the jet was able to be airborn, then Shumacher would have no chance what so ever.

Patrick Carpentier beat an F-14 to the end of the runway a few years ago in an Indycar.
