I was skeptical going in because of the 'Party of Five' premise but I'll give anything with William H. Macy a try. I'm 6 episodes into the first season right now and I'm already declaring it epic. Just watch it, doesn't really need to be in order but it would help with the story if you did obviously, doesn't matter though the acting is great and fucking hilarious sometimes.

So those who've seen/like it, discuss. Others should just watch.

First 20 minutes of the pilot after some stupid Pledge commercial

Also, I just checked and saw that it got renewed for a 2nd season, so there ya go.

I caught the first two episodes of the series so far and definitely suggest people watch it.

The last thing I watched on Showtime was Sherman Oaks. I seriously doubt things have improved since then.

You're missing out if you haven't watch some of their recent series. Weeds, Californication, Dexter, and The Tudors are probably the best. Diary of a Call Girl is decent. Most of the rest are pretty meh or don't look interesting. But Shameless looks like it might be another good one from what I've seen so far.

Oops, I lied. I watched all of Dexter. But not on Showtime cuz we dont have it. Hulu and Netflix and such. In fact I think the PG-13 episodes can be found on Youtube, in 6 parts.

hmmm, I'll need to give this a shot. Showtime has been destroying HBO over the previous couple of years when ti comes to quality shows, it seems.

and William H. Macy, you say?
awesome.

Not only do I know what part you're talking about, I was watching that episode on my Netbook at work when I saw it! Was during the weekend but of course the only other people around were in my cubical section, so that made me do a quick WinKey+D just to be safe haha.

x2. Although I did it on a desktop and on a weekday. I had it minimized for a lot of the episode haha.

I will watch it, just haven't gotten around to it yet due to moving.

I like the show and have a question. Who's kid is Liam? (the youngest black kid)

Pretty sure they just added that in the US show for racial equality on TV. The original one in the UK all the characters were white.

The show is pretty much a direct copy with some alterations for location, etc. of the British show. US one feels somewhat better done though, which might be a first. :hmm:
