To start off, I dont really even watch the show. However, what makes me mad is that two people who contribute hardly anything to society and dont even write their own material at all get millions of dollars. Everything about the show is completly scripted....

And to make things worse, from what I understand the new season is about them having an "actual job" as interns. Its funny to see people get payed for nothing and make fun of how real society works and how people have to make a living :|

They aren't even that hot. I can go to a bar around here and point out many many different women that look better than those two (hell, nicole looks like a horse without makeup).

/rant

edit: And people who watch the show should be ashamed of thereselves for even allowing such garbage on tv.

I think the show actually makes fun of the 2 b!tches and how dumb they are, not the regular ppl. At least thats the impression I got. But still, getting paid that much for acting retarded on tv is pretty dumb.

Sadly it is more an indictment on society itself and is a pretty good indicator of how low values, morals, and principles have sunk in today's world. If people didn't watch then they would not make these stupid shows. It is very similar to Rap music, although terrible and useless to society......the society that accepts it has become more and more useless.

Dude, I watched the first reality TV show in my life yesterday. It was trading spouses. I don't watch any tv (except Scrubs, which i watch religiously. best show ever!!). For no apparant reason, I decided to see what this reality craze was, and picked the DUMBEST sounding show. I could only sit through the first half of it, before I shut off the tv and decided to go outside and kill myself. While in my kitchen looking for a good knife to do this with, I realized that I wont solve anything my taking my life. Its the other stupid people who will have to change their ways if TV is to ever change from the cess pool of consumer idiocy to anything remotely bearable.

Amen to that. I fear that the society in this country will end up destroying the founding fathers' vision of a responsible and free nation.

I was with you completely until the ridiculous rap comment. Tell me how pop, country, jazz, opera or any other music form is helpful to society? I don't recall a country song or Madonna's latest tune feeding the homeless, helping literacy or anything else.

All rap isn't the same either so that was quite the generalization.

None of the sentiments expressed in this thread are in any way unique to our time. I am certain every generation has had older people lament similar things.

I don't watch the show. I don't watch TV much besides maybe Law and Order and major sporting events. But why should you be mad? Why don't you leverage whatever talent/trait/lineage, you have to produce/porcure wealth... If people are PAYING (through ratings and associated advertising revenue) to see them on TV, clearly their presence has some sort of associated value to "society". It's American Capitalism. Get over it.

that was the most blatantly ridiculous comment on rap music. I'm not a fan of it, but I don't go around bashing it because I don't like it. moron.

agreed. So you hate the show. If you get so mad over a show like that, maybe you should invest your time into something more important. I agree, the show is dumb, and it caters to our already badly educated kids of America, but getting mad over will do nothing.
