Disgusting... with a huge dog that hasn't been bathed in ages, the kind of crap and junk that must be coming out from your dog is nothing that I would recommend getting next to while naked, unless I was going to be taking a bleach bath shortly afterward.

I've somehow been able to instill the fear of god into my dog when I'm bathing him. He's an 80 lb Rottie/Shepherd/Lab shitmix ... and if he starts to shake when in the tub, all I have to do is say NO, and he'll stop ... even when water is pouring into his ears. Unbelievable, since the dog doesn't normally respond to the Come command. Then, he'll patiently wait until I close the curtain, and tell him to shake. Still takes me years to clean up the tub, and he still gets fur all over me when I dry him ... but then again, he's never dropped a deuce on my foot :D

if i laugh at work over an internet post and no one is around to hear it, does it still count as wasted time?

Clearly the moral of the story is dogs are awesome. Good read. I like the quip about your brother waking up to find out he had a bed attached to his ass.

Coda's never that dirty - she spends almost all her time in the house.

I know a lot of people that own dogs...and trust me, being naked with your dog in the tub is normal. It's the only way I can get my husky clean!

I just suck it up and take my german shepherd to petco and do the "do it yourself" bathing for $10. You get to use their shampoo, washing stations, dryers, etc....

The washing stations are nice because they are elevated and enclosed with a collar hook on them to keep the dog from moving.

Plus there is no atrocious mess in the bathroom when you are done. I'd say it's well worth the $10 twice a year that we bathe him.

Let's see. Natural oils, a little dander, probably some dirt. Most dogs are cleaner than most humans.

That's nothing, I've had to bathe all 4 of my cats. Usually because I forget to close the bathroom door and they make a dive jump on to the toilet seat only to find it's now a hole while I'm using it.

Try to stop pissing, not make a mess, and catch a flying mass of claw and fur with your wiener hanging out.

everyone knows that when you poop in the shower you have to stomp it down the drain
