Both, its disgusting if you don't. Wouldn't be able to sleep if I was dirty from the day anything, but I also wouldn't want to have to wash the sheets every day either.

You don't always need a shower every day. Did you know that?? It's overkill! Unless you work out, or work outdoors, or for some reason come in intimate contact with huge amounts of filth and garbage every day, you don't always need a shower.

Just concentrate on the four key areas: Armpits, asshole, crotch, and teeth.

I do shower daily, but it really is unnecessary. Just like I stopped washing my hair every day - it eventually evens out and you won't need it every day.

Sunglasses are like that. You don't need them, then you put them on, then you ALWAYS need them.

Every time this topic gets brought up, this is exactly what I think of. George Carlin was right on the money; if you're filthy, yes, by all means bathe. If you're just neurotic about germs, all you're doing is lowering the effectiveness of your immune system. I shower when I feel dirty, which is generally 3-4 times a week. I generally prefer an evening shower because it relaxes me and makes me sleepy, and that's not ideal for a morning commute.

People are so crazy about showering. I bet all you two time a dayers have never been deployed or on a ship at sea. You shower when you stink so much the paint peels.

I shower in the evenings if I'm working, in the morning if I'm not. My hair gets all greasy and uncontrollable if I don't shower in the morning. If I'm working though I don't see the point because I'm probably just going to get covered in dirt/cobwebs/sawdust anyway, and it's no fashion show on the job. Why would I get clean to go crawl in a crawlspace?

When I do physical labor, shower when I get home from work. Otherwise morning shower. Shower during the day after working out or anything like that.

Morning. I used to do it at night but the next morning my hair is matted and later that day it's greasy.

You people that say you're filthy at night, what the fuck, do you roll in mud and shit during the day? Wtf?

Shower at night after workout days (which I always do late) for obvious reasons.

Otherwise, mornings in case I sweat in my sleep, and a general refreshing feeling to start the day.

EDIT: Also, I always have a massive cowlick on the back-right side of my head every freaking morning when I wake up. If I don't shower, I have to dunk my head in water and smooth it over anyway.

Normally, only in the morning.

However, I do appreciate the feeling of getting into bed at night right after a shower, I just don't see the need to use that much water each day.

Sonar Techs bathe before and after watch.

I prefer the morning during the winter. These old bones work alot better after a hot shower when it is cold. Summertime in the evening after work.

So? What does that have to do with anything? I bet soldiers in WWI showered a lot less than that, does that mean we should all shower once a month?

I'm just saying that your body gets used to it and adjusts. It isn't "normal" for your body to shower every day. Not that I do it, I'm a daily (at least on work days) showerer as well. Twice a day is a little much and rather wasteful don't you think?

Not if that's what they like. I'm sure there's people out there that think once a day is wasteful and take sponge baths.

I usually only shower once a day, mostly because I just don't like showering. I like being clean, I just don't like actually taking a shower. It might be because our tub barely drains, and we don't have a shower curtain, and we don't run the heat in our house so the bathroom is freezing.

I shower in the evening doing manual labor type work, but did it in the morning when I worked in an office.

Crazy I know, but some people work in factories, construction, or as mechanics.

I shower twice a day, at night and in the morning.

Ideally I would only shower at night so I can sleep clean, but I'm a really oily person so I have to shower in the morning just to get all the oil of me. I feel gross when I wake up, even after showering the night before.
