So I looked around and couldn't find a thread (I know one of you will link me to some ridiculously old thread with a obvious title)

Anyways, it's interesting to see how you guy's set it all up and so I'll start with mine

I'm currently backpacking so my set up is light but even then I'm a pretty minimalistic person, my home set up is similar but with a desktop.

Phillips Speakers (sound quality is amazing!) it's usb powered yet they go quite loud
Samsung NC110, bought it for weight and keyboard (it's lasted a few knocks!)

It gets dusty REALLY quickly btw.

I've since replaced the chair.

BenQ FP241W + IBM P275, resting on a door set atop two tower speakers.

Depends on how you count it. The tower speakers each have 3 woofers, but if you count each tower as one speaker, it's 16.2 - there's a 2nd sub in the corner. Total wattage is about 900w RMS, not all that high considering the number of speakers but the price was right.

When I first set it up and did a bass test, my internet went out. Turns out the plug popped out of the wall from the vibrations at the other end of the house.

EDIT: It's wired as 7.1 though, the front speakers and rears are all tied together.

I keep monitoring this thread in the hopes that some baller posts his epic setup from hell. Props to yuri tho for the audio - makes me jealous.

My roommate up until early this year always had me beat on the video side though. The moment AMD released eyefinity he bought a pair of 5870's and two more 24" IPS panels, and a $400 desk to fit them. I can't seem to find pics but it's not so outrageous by today's standards anyway.

One week I drug the plasma into my room and used it as a 3rd screen, but proved more annoying than it was worth. I put the speakers back after I moved it out.

Here is mine, I'm very proud of it. I may have to upgrade in the next couple of years though.

I used to play prince of persia with something similar to this PC. It was colorless game was slow (60minutes limit was maybe ~2hrs? I was little so it's subjective but I'm sure that 60minutes passed longer than actual 60minutes, I even thought they're ingame minutes only)

I keep wishing someone would release a line of cases and monitors that mesh modern design with the golden early PC beige era.

If done well, it could be really cool. Or maybe something that riffs on the Altair 8800 and bigger 70s computers.

EDIT: Also, I bet that keyboard would still work and be better than 90% of keyboards on the market today.

Eh it's nothing uber but what the hell not:

P.S: Topic would probably get more replies with pics if it was in Off Topic

Honestly, if you can get past the dated layout, that may be the best keyboard ever manufactured. Its arguable if the FAT was the best Model F, but there is no denying its a beast.

Hell, it even has NKRO!

if mods want to move the thread that's fine by me. I guess this is where I thought it would be most appropriate
