A. People waste money on all sorts of things. You judging what I and others waste it on is of no concern to me.
B. "Mutilate" means to injure or disfigure by irreparably damaging body parts. I didn't consider it an injury, and I definately don't consider tattoos disfigurement. Different strokes.
C. Both of my tattoos are never really visible. I'll show people if they ask, but rarely are they ever seen.

Since tattooing causes scar tissue, wouldn't BY YOUR DEFINITION that be causing "irreparably damaged body parts?"

I'm not arguing whether people should get tattoos or not..but your own definition kills your own point. I hope you're not a lawyer.

a) a few hundred dollars that nearly lasts a lifetime (may need some future touch ups). compare that with a pair of shoes or something similar that does not last a few years at most.
b) humans are free to do what ever they like to their body and what you may call mutilation, others see as enhancement
c) most tattoos are not seen unless on the beach or in the bedroom

congratulations on being so judgemental

Don't mind him. I've noticed that he has a history of making stupid posts/threads.

LOL... speak for yourself.

Oh yeah, one more thing, I think that if you really wanted attention, all you have to do is do something everyone else thinks to be radical.

like everyday, go around town and start hugging walls and singing to crowds while you're at it. or dance in front McDonald's for no reason, 365 days a year for an hour a day at different locations. you'll get attention...

as far as tatoos go? I'd say if you love yourself, make sure it comes from the heart, think about your children before you think about yourself.

Why get a tattoo? Paintings on the wall are just as nice looking, and you can take it down if it starts to wrinkle.

No. Lately it seems I am the unique one, as most people I know have a tattoo and/or piercing.
Considering 84% of adults have no tattoos, I don't think you're that unique.
