That is not the problem... Problem would be they changed the gears to baser metal or plastic...
Cost cutting measures by taking assembly overseas to very cheap labor, making components thinner, etc. Efforts to reduce labor/material costs so actual per unit cost goes way down yet the consumer sees no difference in price. Top executives get nice bonuses, that's about it. 🙄
