It has its good points... be forewarned though of its downsides - unless you can shimmy in behind the desk, tinkering with or maintaining your PC is a pain in the ass - getting the wires back in is the most annoying part, I have to lean over it & use a hand mirror to see what I'm doing. Also, if your PC is noisy, consider that it's right in front of you.
 
There's one guy who has a really cool lamp next to his desk! It's an awesome lamp and nothing else can compare.

I think maybe it was aphex? Or a user with a name similar to aphex.
