Shouldn't TIVO change the channel?

well my GF setup her new TIVO, the Toshiba SDH400 system, to record every weekday at 8pm - 9pm on the spanish channel 2. last night and tonight it recorded. when we left yesterday it was on TBS channel.

now instead of changing the channel itself to the spanish channel, instead of stayed on TBS and recorded TBS at that time. shouldn't the TIVO be changing channels on its own to the spanish channel in order to record?

that's pretty crazy. you sure you programmed it correctly? I've never had any issue even closely resembling that with my Tivo.

Never had that problem, but I've got a DirecTV Tivo... although when I'm recording 2 shows on 2 tuners at the same time, it'll ask me if I want to switch it (on the tv) and then when the time comes it will automatically change the channel.

yes i have them setup. i am not positive if i have them setup correctly, however i went through the whole "channel changing" setup and it worked fine, changing the cable box when i changed the TIVO channel.
