Shouldn't my computer be fast enough to run this

3200 isn't too bad in 05..

I score 5500 with a 6800GT.

Could be the mixed RAM. Try taking out one stick and seeing how it runs with a single 512MB stick. If the results are the same, try again with the other stick only.

Hey, your 6600gt is fine. when you check speeds, it displays the 2d speed (300mhz) but when you are in games it kicks it up to 500mhz. there is nothing wrong with your card. your 3dmark05 score is right where it should be.

it must be your ram.

Seems relatively normal to me. Maybe being held back a little if your ram is running at pc2700 speeds. When you check in the Windows display properties it should show you the throttled 2D speed, but in 3D apps it should kick up to full.

3Dmark05 32xx for a 6600GT is within norms IMO, depending on the rest of the system of course. I only score 34xx with an unlocked(16x1) and overclocked(390/830) 6800.

The 2D clock speed is 299mhz, the 3D clock speed should be 500mhz. What did you use to look at your clock speed? If it was idle, and not running a game or something it's most likely showing the current 2D speed.. I get a 3152 in 3dmark05 with my 6600GT so that looks right. The mixed ram could be causing some issues. Do you have them running in dual channel? Have you run memtest? Have you tried with a single stick?
