Longtime AT'er, but not too active in the H&F area...
I have been doing these exercises almost daily (4-5x week) for the past 9 months and it has been fantastic. Not saying this link is the end-all-be-all, but has 3 quick, easy exercises that help your shoulders a TON. Went from 1/2 of a hand between my two hands when reaching behind my back to now being able to almost fully interlock them. It definitely was gradual, took time and I didn't force it.
Another thing I can attest to is the increase in strength and avoidance of injury. Lifting and yoga are much more comfortable now across a larger range of motion and it helps prevent layering strength on top of mobility 'disfunction'.
Posting so hopefully others can try it and have the same experience!
