Many Muslims believe that men are not only allowed to kill themselves but also are considered martyrs for doing it.

Now, some Islamic leaders are actually debating whether or not women are allowed to kill themselves, and many others in the name of Allah.

No one is allowed to kill themselves period under Islamic Law. Some extremest Islamics scew the scripts to allow suicide bombers.

Suicide Bombing is a cowards way of fighting.
 
Is the Palestinian "Suicide Bombing" in Israel's cities lawful in Islam?

According to Islam, if the enemy kills civilians from us, then they have declared a war from all directions upon us. We as Muslims must not start killing civilians, because in Islam, we are forbidden to start it: "...if any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people...(Noble Quran 5:32)"

But when we are confronted with an enemy that doesn't care about civilization and human value and worth, then the Noble Quran instructs us: "O ye who believe! the law of equality is prescribed to you in cases of murder: the free for the free, the slave for the slave, the woman for the woman. But if any remission is made by the brother of the slain, then grant any reasonable demand, and compensate him with handsome gratitude, this is a concession and a Mercy from your Lord. After this whoever exceeds the limits shall be in grave penalty. (The Noble Quran, 2:178)"

As to the Palestinian suicide bombers today, the religious leaders of the Islamic organizations inside Palestine made it very clear that they are giving the verdict (fatwa) to kill the civilian Jews inside Israel, because (1) the Jews are killing civilians from us; and (2) the Jews are building more settlements and are not withdrawing from the lands that they were not supposed to be in since 1991.

So my answer would be, may Allah Almighty bless our Muslim brothers and sisters in Palestine and grant the Highest Levels of Paradise to its Suicide Bombers.

I don't honestly care if they think its right or wrong....its wrong, period....and I think all the non insane muslims out there would agree.

Religous Islamic leaders can't change Gods word when they feel that its wrong or would suit them better a different way. God's word is God's word. The Islamic law is clear that those that lie about what God says are damned period.
 
Personally I don't think anybody should be suicide bombers, but to be realistic, why not?

No, it's pretty clear. However just because someone is a high ranking religous leader doesn't mean they are perfect and follow all the rules or even want to. Many religous leaders just want power and are willing to use religion for self improvement if you will, this is a problem in all religions.
 
Dually, all religions have extremists but suicide bombing seems peculiar to Islam. There's even foundations to support the families of suicide bombers and they're revered in their societies.

Why is this?
 
Isn't islam considered sort of an extension of judaism/christianity, if so, isn't there that whole. You will not kill thingee.

Lots of people--not just Muslims--turn the other cheek when it happens though...
 
I think that anybody that wants to be a suicide bomber should audition in front of a Taliban group of judges so they could see what you are made out of. (pun intended)
