Should/Will Apple ever offer an option to revert to Aqua?

I really don't like the new iOS design that came with iOS7. It simply sucks. It feels half-assed, because they removed the alpha layer from the icon while leaving the same general rounded shape in. The most egregious offender is safari:

The new icon looks horrible. The old one was so good.

The second issue is that stupid parallax effect when opening apps. The old animation was fine. The new one is disorienting for no good reason. And correct me if I'm wrong, but iOS7 and onwards didn't actually bring any performance improvements over iOS6, despite having simpler designs.

Should Apple one day allow people to revert to Aqua? Either officially or by way of allowing user modification similar to how they allow 3rd party keyboards now? Will they ever?

Minor nitpick: Aqua was Mac OS X. iOS's UI has never been Aqua.

Anyhow, get used to the flat look. It's not going anywhere.🙁

Switch on "Reduce Motion".

iOS 7 is slower as it has much more going on under the hood. Just imagine how much slower it could be if they had even more complex graphics.

As mentioned, there is no such thing as Aqua on iOS. And Apple started to get rid of Aqua's original design ages ago, and it's pretty much gone now in Yosemite.

If it bothers you so much, you can probably jailbreak and have an app that will replace all your icons with a custom png you desire.

I like the change every so often for the phone or desktop. Gives it a different or "new" feel, even if it functions the same.
