And to think Trump has only been in office for what, ~3 months and look at the damage he's wrecked the nation with both domestically and internationally. I wonder what our nation will look like at the end of this year and I wonder what Ukraine will look like around then.

So messed up for no good reason whatsoever.

I feel South Africans in general should be able to seek refuge just like any other foreigner and not because Trump simply wants to make his South African racist billionaire financier happy. If they have a valid reason to seek refugee status in the USA, no harm in trying. Am I missing something here?

Yes. He wants to give blanket refugee status to white South Africans while kicking out people of color for seeking out refugee status individually.

Whites welcome

Ugh.

If someone is being persecuted in their home country, REGARDLESS OF THE COLOR OF THEIR SKIN, they should be allowed to seek refuge in the US.

That said, both the claim that white south Africans are persecuted as well as the act of deporting people back to their shit hole countries because they're the wrong color, are both highly questionable decisions.

Yup, righties always claim asylum is bullshit for people from Mexico or Central/South America, but apparently white south africans not even seeking it should be given refugee status.
 
There were over 6400 murders in SA in the last quarter of 2024, of those there was 1 (ONE) farmer murdered. SA doesn't break down victims by race but since the vast majority of farm owners are white, it's probable but not guaranteed the farmer killed was white. In all of 2024 there were 44 farm murder victims, 4 of which were farm owners.

So, 4 of the people who were killed out of over 25,000 murders in 2024 were farm (and probably white) owners. Doesn't exactly scream genocide to me.

Did anyone reveal the actual statistics supporting the argument that white south afrikaners qualify for refugee status and that these 49 people fit that model?

Not just tweets.
Like hard actual data from intelligence agencies and humanitarian orgs?

So far all ive seen is
the Episcopal Church’s migration service exit the grant program with the fed saying this is holy bs

If you accuse the other guy first you can do the same thing guilt free later while pointing to what you accused the first guy of doing as justification.
