Should we rename ATOT as MacroEcon 101?

Well, we certainly do have quite a few economics experts around.

By "economic experts", you mean people who took an Economics class in college and now think that they're qualified to rewrite Obama's stimulus plan?

Yeah, ATOT is full of them. P&N even moreso.

I'm sure a room of Econ 101 students could come up with a plan as effective as Obama's is destined to be.

I took only two pure economics courses. I concentrated in finance which used to be a subset of economics. I have taken:
business finance
intermediate business finance
investments
the financial system
international finance
options and futures
special topics in finance (focused on derivative securities)
insurance (heavy emphasis on business risk management)

Im not saying im qualified to draft an economic plan but I definitely have enough of an understanding to know what the hell this POS plan is going to do

i took 12...

i guess it helps that that was my major in college.

edit:

but since most everything i took was conceptual micro theory, i guess it doesnt help me criticize obama's plan. however, following the "tax and spend your way to riches" model isnt exactly a wise choice.

edit2:

most of my classes were on these principles.
