I would personally not even be kidding around with something like this when it comes to big-time politicians. Might sound paranoid, but the tiny chance I'd be investigated is not worth whatever forum cred I'd get :)

I find it infuriating that he might actually benefit from the docs being so damn secret. It's like being let off the hook for driving 190mph in a 20mph zone, while 90mph lands you in hot water....

That's if his pet judge doesn't issue a ruling, if she is not removed and is so inclined she can do so. That right there will mean we truly are a dictatorship-in-waiting where some people are completely above the law.

Bottom line: Trump is 100% guilty. He's on tape, he has people that were there testifying against him. If he skates, it's a complete breakdown in the 3 part gov system. If any poster here took even one of those docs, we would not have gotten months or years of Justice asking "pretty please, return them, ok?" as Trump did. We'd have been taken into custody immediately just like the reservist clown (who should never have had access given his track record and age, but that's another story.) If any poster had THEN, after ignoring the friendly requests to return the docs, moved them around, tried to hide them, and then lied about it, we'd probably be in Gitmo or something. Trump has ALREADY gotten much better treatment on this issue than any other person would have, and that's before his pocket judge that he appointed, and who has already been slapped down hard by GOP judges, mysteriously lands his case.

An operation like that would never happen with someone in a forum. It would be someone at the highest levels of government.

There is a reason that the JFK files are still classified 75 years later.

Of course he will be offered a plea deal and of course he will reject it and of course the prosecutors know all of this already so of course they're prepared to go to trial.

They did not charge him for every document he kept.

Incorrect, they charged him for every document, but not every one he had, but turned in on request.

I thought it was more of an approved selection by the intel community, enough there to sink him, but not damaging enough not to let a jury look at them. I would hope none of the selected docs had list of overseas human assets.

The idea that Trump should be 'disappeared' is the right creating what it fears, the opposite side of the coin of insanity.

Trump stole nuclear secrets.

Know what happened to the last people that did that?

Well, Trump's goal is not to avoid jail or not to win his case or not to be exonerated, his goal is to be president of the United States, again. This is what Trump wants, this is what his people want. They don't care about guilt or prison or law or crime or justice, they just want Donald Trump to be president. And not so much elected as president but more so as anointed president of the United States.

People really should try and imagine what it would be like living under a president Donald Trump for a second time. A president that #1 attempted the violent overthrow of the US government, #2 tried to cheat an election, #3 was impeached twice, #4 is hell bent on taking revenge. And #5 dismantling every and all government institutions. And Trump achieves this by installing his cronies to run those institutions thus making those institutions ineffective.

If by some miracle, Trump ever got reelected, it would be safe to say that he would be the last president of the United States.

He would suspend the constitution, declare himself a God/King, and never leave office again, until he died, at which point he would've found some way to pass the throne on to one of his kids.
